Rooms and availability
Excellent hotel, well run with great food. The only issue we had was it was only for one night!
Far away from hustle and bustle of city. You will see the pure and simple life of the villagers and Rice Paddies to freshen your eyes.
i dont like the lobby area, it definitly needs more sunlight.
The atmosphere is so comfortable hotel, right in the middle of the countryside. The most memorable one was able to enjoy breakfast with a view in front of the eye could see an expanse of rice fields so green, very hard to find in the city at large. And I can bike with my kids around the village. It favors a stay at D'Omah hotel, my children were told to be back again to stay at D'Omah. My family will definitely stay there again if on vacation. It was an unforgettable experience.
The lack of telephone facilities in the room to be able to contact the staff of the hotel if we needed anything.
1.We finally able to live in a truly Javanese house in the original village environment, not a making up. 2. The private swimming pool, only shared by few rooms. Which means, if we come in 2 families, we shall be able to own a private pool. 3. The staffs' hospitality, at a point that when they knew that I was curious about the 'knock-knock' sound from a passed by cart, a staff chased the cart seller by motorbike and had me tried the 'Bakmi' within the hotel compound. That was really amazing that's MAKES ME FEELS OF COMING BACK. 4. The hotel tour booking's taxi driver 'DECKY ISKANDAR'. He made our trip worth every pennies. The trip through villages are memorable. Thanks to D'Omah for giving us such a good driver with good command of english too.
1. Limited choice of breakfast, nevertheless they are quite filling. I've tried my first 'Gudeg' I.e jackfruit with chicken, 'tempe', 'tahu' and white rice cooked in Javanese style here which requires us to order the night earlier. However, I may have pronounced wrongly that I was served with tapioca I.e 'ubi kayu' cooked with coconut and sugar which called 'Gutek' instead. Nevertheless, the hotel did not charged me and gave me for free as compliment, saying that they might have wrongly heard. I appreciates the staffs great hospitality on serving us as 'customer first'... Bravo!!
the hospitality, the ambiance, great room designs and its ultimate comfort
inconsistent water heater and low quality hair dryer at Demang 1 room
very helpfull hotel staff and friendly, very relaxing, natural . love the hotel very much nice food and friendly environment. : )
The admosphere is excellent. I'ts in an easy going little village. The design is awesome. Very Zen like. The staf is superfriendly. Food is nice and the whole picture is just pretty good. We did the bike tour and that's somethin we would recommend. You will get a pretty good taste of the people and the life in the countryside. It's not a budget place, but if your willing to spend a bit more to get a lot more this is the place to go to.
The WIFI is not strong enough to get a good connection in every room. The spa is so so. The massage is good. But the sauna is a no go. Too small and not professional and maye a bit over priced.
We loved everything! The food, the staff, the room, the garden, the location. Wonderful hotel.
On the second visit, D'Omah Yogya Hotel was just as outstanding as the first. This is an oasis of beauty, serenity and peace in a crazy world, with a staff who are grace and charm personified. This is a place with a soul - not a plasticised international resort. It rates 5+stars from me every time!
Everything. The food was amazing, the staff was great and the setup of the hotel was astounding. The bathroom is half-outside with an aviary in it! There's a swimming pool for each of every 4 rooms (with 5 sets of 4 rooms) and even walking around the compound is very special. The price is also very reasonable when comparing with other places that are (supposed to be) similar!
Friendliness of the staff. Design of the hotel Location just outside Yogjakarta
Particular the bathroom needs renovation Our room was close to the road. Not so much insulation, hence quite noisy
It was a traditional Javanese hotel, with beautiful seating areas by koi ponds, antiques throughout, excellent food.
Little out of town
The location in a traditional Javanese village is stunning. We really like the way that staff were drawn from the village as a sustainable approach to hotel integration in an area. The villagers were very friendly and approachable and polite, and the village was obviously prospering. The buildings fit in very well with the village and were appealing. The staff were very friendly and were obviously trying their best, even when things were challenging.
The meal service was slow to very slow, possibly reflecting the local sourcing of staff. This made a quick meal or snack almost impossible - you have to go into 'slow time' in the restaurant (although the food quality was generally good). Breakfast could have been available earlier for those wanting to go on a day trip or who couldn't get back to sleep after the morning prayer calls. These calls to prayer from the mosques surrounding the hotel were very loud indeed - very authentic but very loud! This was a shock to the system but less of an issue after the first 4:30 am wake-up. The hotel thoughtfully supplies earplugs and a little warning notice. Make sure you book your massage early as it gets very busy and isn't open past 6pm (it would be nice to extend it into the evening)..
Located far away from the city, in the middle of the rice field, and situated with traditional set up and building. Temperature is not as hot as in the city. Yet you can still find modern facilities, E.G. Cable tv channels, wifi, etc. The Hotel staffs are very nice, and quick to response to your requests. Food is nice, rooms are spacious. Good collections of movies and books to borrow.
Limited car parking space. Breakfast is not in buffet hence limited options.
The layout of the hotel, attention to details and comfort for the guests, spacious rooms and beautiful artwork throughout. A most enjoyable stay, my young grandchildren absolutely loved wondering around.
